Some of you guys may not know this but on bakuman (another manga series created by ohba and obata ) had a whole arc where their protagonists were being forced by the editors to extend their manga series and instead the protagonists decided to end their story on their own terms by making both there is a one shot sequel that i think was released in the last few years. there are also one or two written books outside of the main series, but Death Note is finished and any new content would be a surprise.
